New dinosaurs include bird Tingmiatornis arctica.

New studies came out on the cranial biomechanics of Psittacosaurus lujiatunensis, the morphology of the quadratojugal and jugal in maniraptors, the evolution of paleognaths and the dinosaurian jugal, variation in dinosaurian development, cranial joint histology in Anas platyrhynchos, the flight parameters of Mesozoic avialans, the ultrastructure of dinosaur dentine, and disparity in the jaws of herbivorous dinosaurs. The ontogenetic sequence of Limusaurus inextricabilis is documented, revealing that this theropod experienced total tooth loss through ontogeny. A juvenile specimen of Sapeornis chaoyangensis is described, as is a coelurosaur tail preserved with skin and feathers in amber. Histology of purported "osteoderms" from Agustinia ligabuei support their reidentification as other bony elements. Laser fluorescence is used to study soft tissues in Confuciusornis.

Which species of Confuciusornis did they find the soft tissue on?
