New dinosaurs include ankylosaur Oohkotokia horneri and bird Otus jolandae.
Studies came out on the histology of Mussaurus patagonicus, the evolution of ultraviolet vision in birds, and the use of fossil feather structure to determine taxonomy. Garrulus glandarius were found to share different types of food based on perceived desire of others and Corvus were shown to respond to inequity. Preserved skin from a hadrosaur specimen is found to record a healed injury, possibly evidence of a failed predation attempt. A new maniraptor phylogeny found scansoriopterygids to be basal oviraptorosaurs and Deinonychosauria to be non-monophyletic. A monograph on Balaur bondoc was also published.
"As indicated under the discussion of the clade Averaptora, we restrict here the term Avialae to the Archaeopteryx node, as originally proposed by Gauthier’s (1986)…"
Wasn't Gauthier's Avialae equivalent to Novas & Agnolin's Averaptora? I give it a week at most until Mickey Mortimer tears this analysis a new one.
Oh, and it looks like you forgot Saintandrea here…
(mainly because I learned some unpublished ones at Paleofest)
