Hell Creek Calendar Doodles Part III (Scrapped)

suggested that I draw some doodles for the Hell Creek collaborative calendar project. The idea is that there will be one of these icons in the margin of each calendar page. Like the main calendar images, most of these represent an archosaur-related study that came out in a specific month this year. Some of these are quite off-center, but as they are ultimately going to be cropped I figured it didn't matter.

-September: Resurrection of the genus Plesiosuchus (Young et al., "The cranial osteology and feeding ecology of the metriorhynchid crocodylomorph genera Dakosaurus and Plesiosuchus from the Late Jurassic of Europe")
-October: Miocene flamingo twig nest (Grellet-Tinner et al., "The first occurrence in the fossil record of an aquatic avian twig-nest with Phoenicopteriformes eggs: evolutionary implications")
-November: Structure and sensory properties of crocodilian integumentary sensory organs (Leitch and Catania, "Structure, innervation and response properties of integumentary sensory organs in crocodilians")
-December: Santa Claws
