Birdhouse in Your Soul Banner

Nothing new here, just slightly modified a portion of my GEOL 204 homage to become a standalone piece. Birdhouse in Your Soul is my favorite song out of that course playlist, and not just because it was used for the maniraptor lecture (though that certainly doesn't hurt in the slightest).

There are a thousand and one interpretations out there of what the song is "really" about. I, for one, don't think there's intended to be much more meaning behind it besides being the story of a nightlight, but it's rather amazing that the lyrics are just vague enough for many different alternative perceptions of it to all make sense. I can no longer disassociate the song from the topic of avian evolution thanks to Dr. Holtz making a connection between the two, so I might as well put this paleontological angle on record.

The particular scene depicted here is based on the verse where the (canary-shaped) nightlight singer discusses that across the room there's a picture of its ancestor (implied to be a lighthouse) that did a vastly different job from it. And though it's not directly mentioned in the song, Holtz also made the observation that the lighthouse is much larger than the nightlight, just like how birds went through miniaturization throughout their evolution from other dinosaurs.

There are many more scenes I could have drawn to properly honor this song, but so many ideas, so little time... (Edit: I've now had the time.)
